About the Author
Born and raised in West Virginia I am married and have four children and six grandchildren who are the joy of my life. You will find them an inspiration in many of my writings. My first collection of poetry, Bad Red Shoes, is available online through www.authorhouse.com, www.amazon.com, www.barnes&noble.com and other online book stores. I have also contributed to: Just Paper and Ink-a collection by Writers’ Ink authors, a writing group based in Columbus, OH., released August 2013, Collage-a collection by David Bell and the Franklinton & McConnell writers groups based in Columbus,OH, released March 2015, The Poetic Bond V (2015), The Poetic Bond VI (2016) and Poetic Bond VII (2017)-anthologies of poetry compiled through new media and social networking by Trevor Maynard, Women of Appalachia Project WOMEN SPEAK-anthology of spoken word from women throughout Ohio, Kentucky & West Virginia and The BlackBerryPeach Poetry Awards anthology 2018.
Bad Red Shoes is also available for checkout at the Westerville Public Library, 126 S State St., Westerville, OH. I have also self-published two chapbooks: Sweetness and Grave Digging Blow by Blow. Besides writing, I collect troll dolls and my collection has been on display at the Westerville, OH Library in 2007 through 2018.
I have been a featured reader at the Columbus, OH Arts festival 2003 through 2018, ComFest 2011 through 2018 at Goodale Park, Columbus, OH, Upper Arlington Library, Westerville Library, Columbus Book Fair, Writers’ Ink, The Poets and Writers Guild, Java Central Coffee House, Hilltop Kiwanis, SIPS Coffee House, Gillie Community Center, Peripatetic Poets@ Global Gallery Coffee Shop, with The Women of Appalachia Women Speak Tour 2016-2017, and in 2018 was a reader at the National Federation of State Poetry Societies convention in Denver, CO.
